            Harvard honour for young investigator

            Amy Lampard, recipient of the 2011 Peter Beumont Young Investigator Prize at the ANZAED Conference in Coogee, will be starting a position as postdoctoral research fellow at the Harvard School of Public Health in January 2012. Her research will evaluate a community-based intervention for childhood obesity and examine predictors of weight gain and eating disordered behaviours in children and adolescents in the Growing Up Today Study. Amy will be working with Dr Kirsten Davison and Dr Alison Field.


            AED honours Aussie Professor

            The international Academy of Eating Disorders (AED) has honoured Professor Stephen Touyz for his outstanding contributions to research into eating disorders, by awarding him the 2012 Leadership Award for Research. The Award will be presented at the International Conference on Eating Disorders in Austin, Texas in May 2012.  

            ANZAED congratulates Stephen for this great honour. His commitment and dedication to the field has helped improve the lives of so many people who have suffered with an eating disorder.
