This award is for early career investigators who are ANZAED members, who have an Abstract accepted at the Annual International Conference on Eating Disorders (ICED), hosted by the International Academy of Eating Disorders (AED), to be held in virtual format from June 9-11, 2022.
Two scholarships are available. Each includes registration for the ICED 2022 virtual conference and pre-conference research workshop; and a monetary amount of up to AU$2,000 for first prize and up to AU$1,000 for second prize. The monetary award is typically provided to support travel to the conference. However, as a result of the need to hold the conference virtually, the 2022 scholarship will continue to support the research careers of the winners by presenting the first and second prizes in the form of a research stipend in lieu of a travel allowance. This will be administered by the winners’ academic institution or place of work.
To apply, applicants will need to provide:
- Confirmation that their abstract submission for a Poster or Oral presentation at ICED 2022 has been accepted;
- A personal statement addressing the selection criteria. These are specified on the ANZAED scholarships page (no more than 500 words);
- A current curriculum vitae;
- Confirmation of their status as a student/early career investigator.
These materials are to be submitted to anzaed@anzaed.org.au by 5.00 pm AEDT Friday 4 March 2022.
